Broadcom wl wifi driver installation
« on: November 20, 2014, 10:18:10 PM »
I have wattOS-R8 installed on my Thinkpad X140e. It has the Broadcom BCM43228 wifi adapter. I went through the Wheezy instruction here:

https://wiki.debian.org/wl

But it wasn't successful. I got these errors:

Code: [Select]
Setting up gcc-4.7 (4.7.2-5) ...
Setting up gcc (4:4.7.2-1) ...
Setting up dkms (2.2.0.3-1.2) ...
Setting up broadcom-sta-dkms (5.100.82.112-8) ...
Loading new broadcom-sta-5.100.82.112 DKMS files...
First Installation: checking all kernels...
Building for 3.13-0.bpo.1-amd64 and 3.16-0.bpo.3-amd64
Module build for the currently running kernel was skipped since the
kernel source for this kernel does not seem to be installed.

Kernel source for the currently running kernel not installed.

I checked in Synaptic and couldn't find a kernel source for 3.13.

What am I missing, or what should I do?

Thanks
