MPU-401 device not found or device busy
« on: November 23, 2016, 06:39:46 AM »
Hello,

Yesterday I have installed wattOS R10 32 bit on my old computer. Although the installation was smooth, I am having some issues so I am here to get some help.
I installed wattOS over another linux distribution where I did not have such problems so hardware is working fine.

Issues:
1. During boot message 'MPU-401 device not found or device busy' is displayed.
2. Monitor shows message 'Input not supported' which can be removed after pressing some buttons on the monitor.
3. Volume controls on the monitor are not working. Monitor has integrated speakers which work.
4. Mouse acts like it is sticking - cursor does not move at first, it moves after a few seconds. Until it is moving it is fine but when it stops it needs again some time to start.
5. Keyboard is not working.
I solved 4. and 5. by just moving cables to another usb port but the problem is that I need to this every time when I switch on my computer.

I would appreciate your comments.

Hello ao, welcome to the wattOS forums. :)

You say you got an old computer, but you forgot to tell us which kind! Please do so ;) The mouse problem can probably be solved very easily after reading this;

Regarding your other problem, have you googled the "MPU-401" message? :)
