i cant install gimp :-(

i just want to install gimp but i cant i dont understand i have never had problems installing it in any other os i tryed to take a screen shot but i dont know how to edit it to fit the size peramiters without gimp :-(((((( says it cant install libgs9 or ghostscript

I am not on watt atm so can not check what happens here if I try to install gimp. Can you please post a terminal output of why it cant install libgs9 or ghostscript?

If this is a new install, click reload in synaptic and mark all upgrades then apply. Then retry your install of gimp.

I used

sudo aptitude install <packagename>

I hade to downgrade a bunch of packages to get libgs9 and ghostscript to install then gimp installed right in :-) thanks for your help
