lxpanel slow rendering at startup

Hi! I've installed successfully this great distro on a (relatively) old Atom netbook with 2GB ram and a 64GB SSD. So far all works nice and fast. The only exception is the panel: it has a kind of lag rendering the icons. The panel itself show up instantly, but with no icons. Icons are delayed few seconds.

I've added few icons to he panel (bleachbit, task manager), but I don't think this is the cause of the delay.

Hi xfrank...does this problem still exist?

I have seen slowness on old systems the first time after install, but the menu cache typically takes care of this problem after install and running it a bit and after a reboot. If it still persists, let me know and I will research further. tks..
