Deleting folders from desktop (SOLVED)

I have recently installed wattOS and I am very pleased with this OS, however, I have tried to delete one of the desktop folders that appeared on the original install (/home) desktop without success. I am unable to permanently delete or get rid of the 'Template' folder in any way (I can end up with several copies in the trash file!) On a restart I log back in and there it is again.
I would welcome some help to deal with this bit of trivia, only because I don't want or use a 'Template' folder it is very irritating! Can someone help please?

(I am using a GPS partioned ext4 file system on an HP Envy dv7)

Hi, your subject said delete folders from desktop, this should say deleting folders from home folder. I have duplicated what you said happens with deleting Template folder. Same result with opening the home folder with root privileges. Biff will see this, he will know how. I use my templates folder for greeting card templates. It does come in handy to have a place for them.

- you are right it is no real problem to have an additional template folder except I already have a folder for temp files. I am new with Linux and I frequently get confused (my excuse!) with 'element' identities, I should have taken more care to specify the home folder. Again my apologies for misleading info.

No problem. I was new to Linux as we all were. Your Template folder is not the same as the temp files folder. I use Templates Folder for the card templates for my office writer program.

Folders in your home directory determined in /home/me/.config/user-dirs.dirs .

I do not have such a directory or file  /user-dirs.dirs   -  in my /home/john/.config/
Can you be mre specific about this configuration - is it part of  - R9 version?

You have to change the name of the Templates folder. Then you can delete it successfully.

Thanks for the response, unfortunately I tried renaming but that did not get rid,  - 'Template'    still returned after a reboot. I also tried this in 'root' but it didn't work, no matter what name I give it, 'Template' returns after a reboot.
I have been looking for some kind of  ~ /config file hidden somewhere and there are a few, one of which looked promising  - /etc/apparmor.d/tunables/xdg-users-dirs but after changing elements of this file, this did not have any effect. So back to square one. I may eventually give up and just leave it.

Name the above user-dirs.dirs and put it in .config appropriately edited to what you want.

You gave me the solution!
After much 'tinkering' and managing to badly mess up the OS, I decided to completely re-install it.
Interestingly the file  - user-dirs.dirs   - was not created (again) on reinstall, in the .config file, so I copied the configuration from you, into the .config file and with the appropriate modification to delete the 'Template' file, it is now working correctly.
