system does not recognise my password
« on: May 31, 2014, 11:28:55 AM »
I installed Wattos r8 on Portege A100, on pc-card. During installation I chose automatic logging, yet during the first start is asks for password and does not recognize it.
I cannot start the system at all. I reinstalled system, carefully following the setup steps, couple of times with the same result - password incorrect.
What I did wrong?

In the report in Japan, there is the example which an applicable person inputs a password with a login screen immediately and fails.
At first the displayed of "login" place have to input "user name".

Not sure what you did wrong, but suggest you can resolve it with a reinstall, including :
- do not encrypt any partition
- do not select autologin

To get the autologin, use the search facility on these forums - I'm sure I saw a post on autologin recently, involving edit of a config file.
