I have another question. Can someone walk me through installing AcidRip? I only use this because I don't like carrying DVDs with me when I'm driving trucks. I noticed that it wasn't in the repositories.

From looking at their Launchpad page, they don't have it quite ready for Ubuntu 16.04 yet...says it's on a "pre-release freeze".

I know nothing about AcidRip, but there is a .deb package available for Ubuntu 14.04...whether it will work in 16.04, I don't know. All I can do is suggest trying to install it with the GDebi Package Installer and see how it goes...but it's up to you whether you want to try it or not.

Not sure if it will work or not...


But you can apparently use VLC to rip dvd and store on your pc It's not guaranteed and can be painfully slow..

Thanks. I now have it installed.  Unfortunately my pc is already painfully slow so vlc wouldn't be a good choice.
