@lonewolf I validated Discord account with email. I never had to enter my phone number. Hope to see you there.

So enjoying the photos! The forum is FUN again. May I steal some for my randomwallpaper file?

Love your desktop chrieon. I use a homemade wallpaper changer I found on the internet somewhere. instructions attached. I no longer add it to autostart, it doesn't work. I do add it to applications. Then I click the icon, it will change my wallpaper.

wattOS Talk / Re: The neverending search for the perfect web browser
« on: March 26, 2022, 03:19:53 PM »
@smhardesty, Thank you for waking up this thread! I am using Brave browser. Chromium based with LOTS of extras, adblock builtin. Not looking for a light browser, looking for a secure browser. https://brave.com/linux/ Slimjet still offers 32bit legacy version. That is where I use it.

@cheiron, I downloaded and tried to use Viper browser, aparently it does not like GTK2 with LXDE. It won't start. I do want to try it. Do I need Gnome for it?

I am totally addicted to Linux. The more I learn, the more I research and play. Have you tried the openbox version of SparkyLinux 32bit? Fully functional, I would like to try it on wattOS.

Hi smhardesty,
You have been around linux way longer than me. I've been playing with it since around 2010  when I heard Kim Komando talk about Xubuntu. I tried it (didn't really like XFCE), but I found Distrowatch and wattOS. I joined the forum to learn more and started helping others with what I learned. Biff made me an admin/moderator 11 years or so ago. He made me love wattOS and Linux. My husband was suffering with Windows XP back in 2014 and he said "Put that Linux stuff on my computer" :D.

Hi smhardesty,
You are welcome! It was worth it for me. From cold boot, nothing started, 255Mb ram used...

Hello smhardesty,
I am also waiting for wattOs r12. Until then, I have used the Ubuntu 20.04 mini iso and installed lxde desktop environment. I have 8 Gb ram with Intel Core2 Quad CPU @2.66 GHz. Old computer from 2008. I used this Ubuntu 20.04 mini iso: http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/focal/main/installer-amd64/current/legacy-images/netboot/
