I'd have popped up here earlier, but I've been travelling around without this laptop with me.
Home now.
I'm a retired engineer with a mutating collection of older/cheaper/free computer hardware that runs just fine.
This comes to you from WattOS R9 'Microwatt' running on a no-longer-youthful Acer 4315 that has had a couple of upgrades...
I've also installed my favourite games - Simon G Tatham's portable puzzle collection - some 32 games in around 1MB of download, which I feel might be in keeping with the philosophy of Microwatt?
Essential for those times when something big is burning in the optical drive.
Most impressed to find that they popped up in the file manager at: menu://applications/Games
That's neat!
Moved me to perform some truly basic script-fu with a couple of handy items - a sound mixer (alsamixer) script, primarily for volume control - and a shutdown script. Need to create .desktop files for them next.
Microwatt is fun!
