I'm just beginning to use Debian (Ubuntu-centric until now) and I really have no idea how to handle installing from a tar.gz file. Would some kind soul like to give me rudimentary directions? I have the tar.gz file for Dropbox 2.8.2, now all I have to do is learn what to do with it!
Thank you in advance!

When you use Dropbox in wattOS R8, you should install Debian package "nautilus-dropbox":
sudo apt-get install nautilus-dropbox
Or you search "nautilus-dropbox" from synaptic and install it.

Once again I thank you, BALLOON! I thought I would have to go through the whole unpack/install routine - this is much better!

And by golly, here it is all done and working - thanks again!
