Is there a way to install Mircowatt from terminal? solved
« on: July 11, 2014, 07:59:03 PM »
Hello,
I'm german and my english isn't very well. So sorry for any mistakes.

I want to install Mircowatt R8 on an Asus EeePC 701 4G Surf for a friend.

The lifeusb is working but the monitor (7 inch) is not big enough to use the Grafical Installation during life-mode, the windows are too large. I tryed to conact a bigger Monitor over VGA, but I cannot configure this Monitor and xrandr tells somesthing about "Failes to get size of gamma for output default", but normaly xrandr works fine with intel-graficcards. So I want to try an installation with the terminal. Is there an install- script or something like that? And where can I find this?
If there isn't a way to install from terminal what else could I try? Install Debian and add the repros from mircowatt?
I'm not very good at working with linux, but I like to learn.
thanks for your help

Probably the CLI installation is not prepared for by wattOS.

You may install it in EeePC commonly.
You can display the big window by pushing Alt key and dragging it.
In addition, it is effective to hide a panel.

Thanks, for the trick with the "Alt"-Key.
This is a very easy way.
