Title: Puppy Linux Convert
Post by: Cadejo on June 22, 2014, 10:57:51 PM
Hey All,

I'm coming from the Puppy Linux world and jumped into MicroWatt.  I'm impressed so far.  I would say that the performance is on par with the Ubuntu compatible variant so far.

Yes, it is quite smooth, looking forward to see how it turns out in the near future. It has a couple of rough edges though, in my opinion. But it is still early Debian day. Anyway most of it easily tweaked.  :)

I agree, I had to work out some xrandr 'ism's but I got my displays to work.  Open box is very nice, I don't miss JWM, but I still love it.  I really dig what's going on here, the R8 needs a fix on the Wheezy vs Jessie identity crisis...

I boot wattOS using GRUB4DOS of Puppy. ::)
Some merits are in Puppy. root authority, size, Frugal, ......
In wattOS, the abundant package and manageability by the Debian base will be merits.
