Touchpad issue Insipron N5110
« on: October 13, 2014, 10:31:54 AM »
I've just installed Microwatt R8 and loving it.  Only major issue thus far is I only have partial functionality of my touchpad.  I can move the cursor, but I can't single or double tap.  From what research I've done the touchpad tap issue stems from the difficulty of reverse engineering a particular version of an Alps driver.  What I wanted to know is whether or not I'm being a dingus and just need to adjust a setting, or has this reverse engineered driver not been included in WattOS?

Unfortunately no.  I saw this link during my research last night and the file in question no longer exist.  There is a guy who has reversed engineered a driver, but I tried his solution and I can't get it to install.

Found this, a little bit old, but it might be worth a read.
