I do not have anything about libkmod at the moment, but I hope you are having progress Zak.  :)

Please take a look at line 745. About something called "FlexNet" ?

Decided to check this. Did a direct download of R10 LXDE 64bit. Wrote it to usb with the dd command. Booted it, and was automatically logged in to the desktop.

So my best suggestion to you anyufeerari is to start from scratch. And please post more information of your modus operandi.

Thank you.  :)

As leenie says, we need more info. Historically it seems that wattOS has practiced "guest" as login name, and left that password blank. Did not find any info about that in the release announcement of R10.

Tried to run a live session in vbox  this morning, but due to some weird graphic crap it did not work. And I do not remember from last time I run R10 live either. Sorry.  :(

Try with "live". And welcome to the wattOS forums. :)

Sorry forgot about this yesterday. The output from "journalctl" is massive, but with an option it is not so much.

You do have a backup of important stuff?

You can check the boot log to see if anything sticks out. Possibly a long shot, but worth a try.

Recovery menu, go to root option, and when there do;

Code: [Select]
nano /var/log/boot.log

Oh dear, things are getting messy  ;)

What happened, what did you do in the session  prior to the boot problems?

Try with the recovery option, and when you reach the recovery menu, try the top choice first.

Yes, a very long shot, like hitting a fly in the universe with a random bullet...or something. :)

Hi Dan! Really good to see you around. :)

All well as far as I know. Things has been quite on the calm side of troubleshooting during the holidays. But now as the new year is shifting into gear it looks like it is business as usual. Well, the 16.04 release is probably quite stable by now, so let us put the blame on the hardware and not the user! ;D

I hope you are doing very well and that your own distrolette is working out both smooth and  8)

regards blaze :)

Hi again Zak! Speed dial... ;D

Incredible as it sounds I got another idea worth a try at the least. Go into the bios of your computer and check if you got some kind of setting or value regarding numlock that is possible to change. I got that on this old T61, so worth a check, ok? :)

Hi again Zak! :)

Have you checked the keybinds in your lxde-rc.xml file that is located in:  /home/yourusername/.config/openbox ?

Sorry Zak, no more ideas here.  :-\  A couple of years back when I were setting up my printer, I remember that I had to install the dependency of the dependency of the dependency to get it to work. Do not have a clue if that is your case. Just wish you good luck with it. :)

Printers can be a real pain in a certain place. I see that there are quite a lot of support requests about your printer. I included a link from Ubuntu forum from someone that says it should work. Have you done your driver install that way? Are you trying to print wireless, or cable?

https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2333358

Have you read this, and tried the "localhost:631" method? See under "Adding a printer".

Well... ??? I don`t know really. Start from scratch? Did the live session of R10 work well? For how long did you have it installed before it went belly up? What kind of laptop is it? Have you tried any other Linux distro on the laptop, and if yes, how did that work out? Did you install from cd or usb? In case of usb, how did you transfer the iso to it?

Have you considered trying Super Grub2? Great tool when things go ;D
