Title: Removable Harddrive permissions? (SOLVED)
Post by: disconnectedave on July 24, 2015, 05:18:43 PM
i love this distro just what i was looking for! I also used puppy and crunchbang but i dont like how they are headed. I will stick with wattOS for now. the only thing i want to do is make it so i can browse my removable mdeia without being root.

This is the same on my netbook with microwatt32 and my desktop with the full version64

Say i have music on a external hard drive i get an error message

"Error opening directory '/media/dav/d8021c65-ac3f-4b18-bfb4-93b8b16145aa/Music': Permission denied"

so i have to open every program with root that wants to read/write to the drive?

or just to try to copy / paste files around i need a root file mananger.

any idea how to fix it?
