Title: SOLVED Fix broken packages
Post by: jeffneedle on August 27, 2018, 05:53:48 AM
Hi.  Using a fresh install of Watt 10, LXDE, 64-bit.  I'm trying to install the video player VLC.  Synaptic tells me to fix broken packages.  I've tried using the Synaptic drop down "Fix broken packages," but it doesn't clear the problem.  Any help will be appreciated.

Read this thread: http://planetwatt.com/newforum/index.php?topic=917.0.
Excerpt from thread: All I had to do was go to: "Software & Updates" > "Updates tab" and check "Recommended Updates (Xenial-Updates)".
Update your system and try VLC again.
