    gerry beale Just out of interest folks.. for those with chromebook and using Crouton .. R8 does contain i2c_dev, i2c_i801, cyapa and chromeos_laptop in modinfo listed under intree - Y  ... oh the possibilities for the chromebook :)

    gerry beale Remember R8 uses "su" as default... to use update manager, click lightbulb, run, enter "gksu-properties" and change the "su" to "sudo" then close.. and now you can run update manager

    the lxde wattos doesnt include propriety drivers for the monitor if that is what you are referring too...
    there is a way around that to bring the graphics look into touch

    I have just formatted my hard drive on my test pc so should be a good match. HP Pavillion 471uk. single core P4, 512mb ram (fully maxed) 64mb dedicated graphics and something like a 80gb hard drive.
