Non-Pae option?
« on: March 02, 2017, 06:50:13 PM »
Hi everyone - I just picked-up a T41 laptop (love it!) and want to install Watt 10 on it (currently, it has Ubuntu Mate on it).  Used the iso I had used to install on my desktop, but it isn't loading.  When I tried a different distro, it gave me a message that PAE is not available.  So....does anyone know if there a way to install Watt on a non-pae laptop?

Thanks!

Okay...I feel silly....apparently it is the same procedure as with Lubuntu.  I hit tab at the Live option and typed forcepae on either side of the dashes at the bottom after quietsplash.

Hope this helps someone else and if there are other thoughts/ideas, I am interested.  If I don't hear back in a few days, I will mark this as solved.

Thanks!
