So tweaked it to run gcc4.9, added the Liquorix kernel, patched VMPlayer for the 4.0 kernel and off to the races ;)
(Now to read the manual on lightdm to see how to setup autologin).

I am extremely satisfied with WattOS r9. It has allowed me to install my age old financial manager. I would hate having to use a different one. Such a pain to set it up. Anyway, got my screenlets and the big Conky clock....  Performance is wonderful on this Lenovo SL500 with 4gig ram. WattOS has now replaced and become my standard distro. For my purposes, it works great.  For an office package, I installed Kingsoft directly from their site. Don't use it a great deal and it still in alpha, but it suits me just fine.  From what I have experienced, WattOS is the distro I had imagined having from the start. I've loaded and discarded so many distros over the years for one reason or another, but looks as though this one gonna stay.
