Choice between LXDE and Openbox desktop
« on: November 09, 2017, 02:51:17 PM »
Hello everyone !

I just installed WattOS R10 on an old laptop.

When I'm on the session screen (where I choose my login and enter my password to open a session), I noticed I can choose between LXDE and Openbox desktop. LXDE works fine !

But when I try Openbox, I only obtain a black screen and the cursor of the mouse...

Do you know where can this problem come from ? Wrong setup of Openbox ? Openbox not fully installed ?

Have a nice day !

Welcome to wattOS,
Openbox is a window manager, not a full desktop environemnt.  So, minimal bells and whistles.
If you really want to work with this then try here :  http://openbox.org/wiki/Help:Getting_started
There are other links beside the page I've quoted which will give you a detailed intro, if working via Openbox appeals to you.

Hi and welcome Khajib! If you are interested in Openbox check out the link provided below. Once you enter the Openbox, it is really hard to get out of it, it is extremely addictive. I also recommend Google if you want to search further.

The right click, is the right click! ;)
