Linux and desktops / Debian (or Ubuntu) based LXQt distro?
« on: November 13, 2016, 01:15:27 PM »
I would like to check out a Debian (or possibly Ubuntu) based LXQt distro. Any suggestions? Is there any that is dedicated solely to LXQt?

Or should I just add it to a straight Debian desktop? I do not know much about LXQt, but would like to get to know it. Simple as that. :)

General Discussion / The end of 32 bit computing?
« on: November 08, 2016, 07:26:02 PM »
Several major Liunx distros says that the end for 32 bit is coming. Inevitable maybe, but sad too. I am not too worried though since this is still several years away. And I am pretty sure that there will be some distros that will continue to release 32 bit isos for ageing hardware for many years to come after that the big ones have ended it.

Feedback and Suggestions / Missing links?
« on: February 05, 2016, 09:54:03 AM »
It is strange that there are no link to "PlanetWatt - Landing Page", and no link to "Download here", VERY easy accessible and VERY visible here in the wattOS forum???
It should be in my opinion. Or am I missing the very obvious?  ???

General Discussion / Spam9 from cyber space

The spammers have been hitting us hard these last weeks. Is it not possible to do something that makes it more difficult for them to get in and spread their...eh spam? Just wondering.

wattOS Talk / wattOS R7.5?
« on: August 29, 2015, 12:53:53 PM »
The R7.5 release is based on Ubuntu 13.04 if I have understood things right? That is an obsolete release which Ubuntu support ended 2014.01.27! Why is it still possible to download such an old iso? Would it not be better to remove it, so there can not be any misunderstanding? I do even doubt the value of having the possibility to download R8, the oldstable Wheezy release. But that I can understand since it is a LTS release.

The install went good, but the resolution sucked. I had experienced this once earlier with Ubuntu Unity 32bit. Did a Google search and did as suggested in a thread at "askubuntu.com". Installed the following three packages with synaptic, and rebooted.  :)

   virtualbox-guest-x11

   virtualbox-uest-dkms

   vitrualbox-guest-utils

Feedback and Suggestions / about stickies

@admins- Please take into consideration to unsticky stickies that are no longer relevant. Old and unactual stickies just makes the heavy to read.
