Title: R9 End of Life? (SOLVED)

My hardware won't work on a kernel newer than 4.2.x, so I am thinking of installing this.  I can't find any information on how long it will be supported or receive security updates, though my assumption is until early 2019, like Trusty.  I would like to know for certain, however.  Anyone able to say so with authority?  Thanks.

Welcome to the wattOS forums supusrs. You are correct in your assumption. R9 follows Trusty and will therefore get security updates til it reaches the eol in April 2019. :)
