Title: why is KDE in wattOS R9?
Post by: ross on August 17, 2016, 02:57:59 PM
I'm curious as to why there is so much KDE software in wattOS R9? Is it used in wattOS's version of the LXDE desktop? And can I safely remove it since it seems to needlessly take up disk space?

How much disk space does it really use? How big/small are your disk?

It doesn't. I see now that KDE is in their because the maintainers chose to use KWin as the window manager. I don't much like KWin. Anyway, I just installed XFCE4 and I'm using that desktop now instead of LXDE/KWin.

I'm confused...on every installation I've done, Openbox was the window manager on wattOS LXDE R9. Is Kwin the window manager for Microwatt? I thought i3 was its window manager.
