Hello: Running WattOS Lxde-64 bit. I am now retired age 61 as of today. I have a AMD based PC, Gigabyte mobo 970A-D3p-dual bios, running an AMD 8-core AM#/FX-8320. Use a ATI 6450 HDMI vid card. I have 6 Linux operating systems, and 3 extra hard drives to slave in as test. WattOS is a keeper and have a half of a Tbt of drive for it. I really like Openbox, OB is much like LXDE considering O/B is built upon it. Here is my desk top and enjoy. If anyone whats script for the conky, let me know. Added- conky script. Thanks. zephyr

After using WattOS for almost a week...I'm stinkin' hooked on it!

Here's a screenshot of my desktop...nothing impressive though, because I'm basically a minimalist and like a clear desktop.  ;)

Thanks again for such a great OS!

After settling in with WattOS, I've also settled on a desktop to stick with.  ;)

Don't worry...I won't keep posting desktop pictures if I change it again.  ;D

Icons are Lubuntu Box icons.

Indeed...it is Amsterdam...only backwards. I flipped the picture so the conky would show better on the right side.

By the way, after you boasted about your 1 TB SSD and 16 GB of RAM in another thread...if you enlarge the picture and look at the conky, you'll see that this bad boy is LOADED with a 72 GB hard drive and a little over 900 MB of RAM. LOL!  :D

...and with WattOS, it purrs like a kitten.  ;)

Nice scrot you got there Dan. Wow, with specs like that it suggests that you are running wattOS on some really nice vintage hardware. :)

Yeah, this thing is a beast! LOL

It's a HP dx5150. One of the earlier 64 bit computers (complete with a floppy disc drive). I got it from a Library that was getting new computers...it had Windows XP on it, but it was completely frozen up and no one could do anything with it. Thought I'd take a chance and installed Linux on it, and it has worked great since then. It just took me a while to find the best distro for it...aka...wattOS. ;) I use the 32 bit version though...thinking it'll use a little less RAM.  :)

Seems my image is too big and wattos's forum won't allow me to upload it. :(

Seems my image is too big and wattos's forum won't allow me to upload it. :(

I have a free Weebly website that I use for uploading screenshots. I'm able to make a thumbnail by uploading 2 of the same picture...then resizing one of them down to thumbnail size on Weebly. So, it takes 2 pictures...a regular sized one and a thumbnail to use this code...

Code: [Select]

If something like that isn't an option, I think this website is pretty popular for uploading photos to, and it gives you a thumbnail link...

https://www.scrot.moe/

I have to say this though...I don't know if it was due to me signing up with that site or if it was coincidence, but a couple of days after joining that site, I started getting TONS of SPAM in my email.

I personally like xomf.com. There's no registration...just upload as much as you want. It gives you forum code for the images you upload too.

WattOS LXDE with Microwatt i3-wm. 64bit. 120GB SSD, 2TB HDD, i3 6100, 8GB DDR4 2133MHZ RAM. this pc is my superpowered WattOS main PC.
Looking to buy a GTX 1060 soon, too. not 100% on the graphics card though.

I'll post mine this weekend. I'm pretty particular about my setup so I'm figuring out the ins and outs of i3 and it's configuration capabilities. So far I've moved the bar to the top of the screen and I'm changing some of the bar information "blocks". I also got rid of the window titlebars to maximize screen real-estate on my tiny Chromebook.

Here's my Microwatt desktop...in keeping with biff's use of green, I decided to use one of the wallpapers that I had made previously and added the wattOS logo to it.

I stinkin' love Microwatt!  ;D

I really like pCloud. I think their free account only gives you 10 or 15 GB of free storage (unless it's changed), but I prefer them over Google Drive and Mega for certain things.

Yeah, the pCloud Crypto has piqued my interest. The pricing for 500GB isn't bad either. I might just go premium and switch away from Google Drive.

It's coming along I suppose. I'm trying to get some nice unicode font icons as the i3block labels but it's giving me some trouble. I'll keep at it until I get it. I also decided to use rofi for the launcher instead of dmenu...installed compton to make it all nice and transparent.

Thought I'd give the Openbox session a little attention. If people aren't aware, in wattOS LXDE, you can also choose the Openbox session at the login screen. Out of the box, it's pretty bare-bones though. Still, I love Openbox and enjoy customizing it.
