What is the reason that must use old linux kernel?

The kernel of the wattOS R8 standard(3.13.x) works normally in VirtualBox.

I mind that a kernel is too new in wattOS R8.

    wattOS R8 adopts kernel 3.13.

This feels the possibility that it cannot boot depending on environment.

If therefore jim is going to carry it out, it is an important thing.

I know the existence of other distribution including an old kernel on purpose.

    Hi Jim,

Sounds like a clean install is the best course unless there is a risk of data loss.

Let us know how we can help.
